We are now looking for someone interested in a developing job where you will support individuals in their daily lives and enable them to have a meaningful existence.

We offer a stimulating job where you, together with the unit manager, educators, and work group, participate in planning and developing the operations. The position is a temporary contract lasting until March 2027.

Idas Gård is an LSS residence located in Högsbo, close to nature and good transport links. Here, 5 individuals aged between 27 and 65 live with individual and varying support needs. The target group we work with consists of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The tenants live in their own apartments with access to shared spaces.

In your role as a support assistant, you will work with varied tasks where you provide pedagogical support in everyday life. You will assist the tenants in participating in community life and leisure activities. Personal care and support at home, such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking, will be carried out as much as possible together with the tenants. You will work motivationally and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's abilities.

You will be the contact person for one tenant, which means maintaining contact with relatives and other networks, as well as actively following up on implementation plans and managing ongoing documentation, which occurs with the tenant's participation.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and sleeping on-call, as well as three weekends out of six according to the schedule.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for individuals with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

You who apply have previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and the low-arousal approach.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires you to master the Swedish language both orally and in writing. This means a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user EducateIt.

If you have knowledge and experience in social documentation, this is an advantage.

It is also meritorious if you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), knowledge and experience of IBIC (individual needs in focus), ESL (an independent life), and MI (motivational interviewing).
